Fishing Match Results & Carp Lake for Sunday 16th October

Sixteen fished our Sunday open match, most who fished mainly for carp. The number of carp caught today were not so many as previous matches, but the ones that did show seemed to be of a good size.

Congratulations to Joe McMahon who won the match and the golden peg in peg 26 with 39-8oz. Joe fished the long-pole and towards the end of the match in the margin. Dave Haines came second in peg 9 with 37-2oz. Dave fished the straight lead towards the island. Steve Jefferies came third in peg 24 with 36-2oz. Well done to John Barker who won the silvers in peg 10 with 9-2oz. Kevin Lloyd in peg 3 caught a lovely perch of over 2lb. (see photo below)

Weather was rain early morning, sunny all day with the wind getting stronger as the day progressed.
