The latest results from our Fishing Open
Despite the temperature being a bit colder than it has been recently, we still had a good show at the lakes during our recent Sunday Match — below are the results:
With 55.8lbs, in first place was Dave Haines on Peg 21, fishing with the straight lead and 8ml pellet to the island.
Here is Dave at a previous Fishing Open:
Second was Paul Taylor from Peg 24 also fishing the straight lead to the island with 51.4lbs.
“Paul has been Barbel fishing on the River Wye during the summer months so we’d like to say welcome back Paul,” says Terry Boulton, Fishing Manager at Windmill Lakes.
The fish silvers weight was won by Norman Ferris with 11.9lbs — Norman had a big skimmer, fishing with soft pellet and paste.
Run on a day ticket basis, the Windmill Fishery complex consists of four bespoke lakes individually designed to cater for all your coarse fishing requirements.
Night fishing is available on the Carp Lake and we run a food and refreshments service that can be delivered to your peg, for all any anglers who might start feeling a bit peckish…
We also offer: on site equipment hire, coaching for new anglers, regular angling competitions, junior, adult and day tickets and party/group packages available
