Sunday 6th December Fishing Results

Highlights of the latest angling match at Windmill Fishery

Despite the wind and rain, 17 anglers turned up for the Windmill Open Match on Sunday and everybody was rewarded by catching fish, silvers and carp.

First place went to Bob (The Bread) Price with 51.6lbs, fishing from Peg 30 and we don't need to tell you what he caught the fish on...

Fishing Peg 24 with 50.2 lbs, second place went to Bela Bakos whose recipe for success was a little more protein based than Bob's — Bela used small cubes of meat to tempt the fish.

Third place went to Mike Nichols from Peg 22 and fishing short Mike landed 30.10 lbs of carp and 10.5lbs of silvers. Mike also won the silvers with this weight.

With seven metres of pole on paste, Norman Ferris, fishing Peg 10, landed 33.9 lbs, which also landed him fourth place in the match.

Chris Szakas, on Peg 26, landed 32.15 lbs and came in fifth place.

In sixth place and using straight lead, was Luke Pester, fishing Peg 8.

Bob Price, obviously had a winning streak and was also the winner of our Christmas League. The runner up was Gerry Welsh. Congratulations!

The fishery will be closed on Christmas Day on New Year's Day but will be open the rest of the Christmas period, which could offer a bit of peace and tranquility after all the festivities.
