The Latest Fishing Results

The last three weeks of results from Windmill Leisure

Sunday Open 7th February

It was a bit of a grey day, with wind and rain in equal measure, which made for a challenging Sunday open, weather-wise,” said Terry, Fishery Manager.

Despite this, fish were caught and in first place was Chris Derrick, owner of Fish and Field, in Chipping Sodbury, added Terry.

Chris caught on the feeder tight to the island from Peg 25. He landed 40.14lb and some good-sized carp. Well done Chris.

Second place went to Keith Bilder on Peg 6. Keith landed 10.8lb of silvers and 10.6lb of carp, giving him 20.14lb in total.

It was lovely to see Keith at Windmill again, said Terry.

In the third spot was Norman Ferris, with 12lb from Peg 10 and he fished a soft pellet.

Steve Jefferies won the silvers with 10.9lb from Peg 8 and landed some good quality skimmers. Steve seems to be doing well with the silvers at Windmill.

Terry commented: 'Thanks to everyone who came along and see you soon.'

Around 15 joined us on our Sunday Open, which was a good number, but I think a few were obviously off romancing for Valentine's Day, says Terry, Fishing Manager.

Luke Pester in Peg 17 really done the business” added Terry landing 51lb of carp fishing the straight lead to the back of the island.
